Critical Frequency Design is seeking a talented professional for a Supply Chain Manager (SCM) position. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategy, oversight, growth, and management of our partners and suppliers. The SCM will develop and implement FAR/DFAR compliant procedures to enable a quality focused infrastructure while building lasting relationships and establishing strategic agreements.
The SCM executes the end-to-end supply chain activities including qualifying and approving vendors, initiating requests for proposals (RFPs), obtaining quotes, evaluating bids, negotiating price, and actioning awards based upon Critical Frequency Design’s procedures and requirements. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment and engages a variety of stakeholders throughout the supply chain processes including Program Management, Quality, Manufacturing, Test, Design Engineering, and Finance. The CFD SCM role requires a self-motivated individual with a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and an aptitude for excelling within deadlines.
The SCM’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Align sourcing efforts to meet business goals and objectives.
- Assess supplier risks and develop the appropriate contingency plans to yield on time delivery and quality deliverables.
- Develop and implement strategic outsourcing and inventory management initiatives.
- Establish, implement, and maintain compliance to policies, procedures, and material control systems to reduce costs without compromising quality.
- Drive state of the art supplier management standard work.
- Engage in operating income initiatives to reduce operating costs and increase efficiency.
- Establish and track supply chain specific Key Performance Indicators.
- Identify and qualify new suppliers that meet the business and performance standards of the company.
- Evaluate statements of work (SOW) and negotiate terms and conditions.
- Analyzing suppliers’ operations to determine factors that affect prices and determines lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules.
- Review purchase order contracts for conformance to Company and Customer policies.
Qualifications
The candidate must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
- U.S. citizen to support ITAR business unit
- Post-Secondary / Associates Degree and a minimum of 8 prior years of related experience or Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
- Strong understanding of Procurement, Manufacturing Operations, and material logistics
- Prior experience procuring for projects requiring US government regulations (FAR, DFAR, ITAR)
- ISO 9001 or AS 9100 background
- Strong time management, communication, and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment with multiple deadlines and priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Government and Commercial Contracting/Subcontracting managing supplier performance in the areas of technical scope, schedule, and cost
- Aerospace and Defense Avionics experience
- MRP/ERP applications knowledge
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
- CPM, APICS, or similar certifications
- Cost analysis experience
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Global sourcing experience.
