Melbourne, Florida – (June 25, 2025) Critical Frequency Design (CFD), a leader in next generation aerospace and defense photonics technologies, proudly announces the appointment of Eddie Myers as Chief Growth Officer. Myers joins CFD at a pivotal time as the company accelerates commercialization efforts and scales its disruptive free space optical (FSO) and advanced processing solutions.
In this newly established executive role, Myers will lead the enterprise growth strategy, directing business development, government relations and marketing initiatives while elevating CFD’s brand visibility across the defense, aerospace and intelligence sectors.
With more than 25 years of executive leadership in mission critical systems, Myers brings a proven record of disciplined growth, operational excellence, and transformational results. He most recently served as Vice President of Integrated Mission Systems at L3Harris Technologies, where he led global business development across C5ISR-T, unmanned and autonomous systems, power distribution and advanced multi-domain sensors. He previously served as Vice President and General Manager of WESCAM, a division of L3Harris, where he drove strategic expansion of EO/IR imaging and targeting solutions for air, land and sea missions worldwide.

Myers holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical and electronics engineering from North Carolina State University, a Master of Science in systems engineering and high-tech product strategy from the Florida Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Central Florida. He has also completed executive programs at the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia and The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
